The names of the 2026 Inductees into the AZ Veterans Hall of Fame have been released and we’re excited to announce that a long-time member and leader of Chapter 68, GABE FORSBERG, is on the list! Of the 19 inductees, there are two women being inducted this year, Gabe and Jessica Roza – see the full list below. This brings the total number of women AVHOF inductees to 75, and the number of members of Chapter #68 who have been inducted is now 23.

A little bit about Gabe: Gabriel “Gabe” Forsberg served honorably in the Army and Air National Guard. In 1997, Gabe joined the Arizona Department of Veterans Services as Strategic Planner and Women Veterans Coordinator, executing multiple Veteran/Military Women’s Conferences, along with helping establish the Military Family Relief Fund and the Southern AZ Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery. Gabe has volunteered over 25,000 hours to veteran organizations, including: President, Treasurer, Secretary and Color Guard member for Saguaro Chapter 68, Women’s Army Corps Veterans’ Association – Army Women United; Member, VFW Auxiliary Post 1433, Glendale, AZ; and Board Member of the Jewish War Veterans Post #169. She is also known for the 15 years she volunteered with the Maricopa County StandDown, and is credited with establishing the Women Veterans Section. She volunteered with Paralyzed Veterans of America for many years and continues to volunteer hours and contribute to programs benefitting veterans at the Phoenix VA Medical Center. The Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame Society awarded Gabe the first and only Copper Feather Award in 2017. We are lucky to have Gabe as a member of Chapter 68 and extend our CONGRATULATIONS!
